    What is it with kiltmakers and Marines? Barb's generosity, Steve Ashton is a Marine. Kathy Lare's family is a Marine family. Probably missing some more....??

    Ron, I don't doubt that the strong historical connection between the US Marines and the Royal Marines plays some role in it. If I had to go further, I'd just speculate that Marines are, umm, kind of "different" by nature.
