Here's the email she wrote to Cat:

Definitely use oxyclean and a little Tide. It should come out if you
put a little water on it, with some Oxyclean and Tide, and rub it in with your
finger. Use cold water. If you work with it, it should come out, no
    problem....

The thing to remember would be to try just treating the little section and THEN wash the whole kilt in the normal manner...

The problem with writing up something for the tutorials section is that not all the fabrics are the same and will react the same way... this advice was just for our Poly Viscose kilts, not for other companies. It MAY work, but we don't want to be responsible if it doesn't!

Tell Kelly thanks for the info! I happened to have detergent that already had OxyClean in it, so I just mixed a bit of that with some cold water and it got the blood out pretty quickly, then I just went back over it again with plain cold water to get off any remaining detergent (I just laundered and pressed it a week ago, so I'm trying to put that process off again as long as possible!) The Teflon did seem to keep the blood above the fabric though, and it came out very easy with this method.

I thought maybe someone got a great deal out of Rocky....

    Rocky,

Thanks for the advice. The Moderators often have to deal with getting blood out of kilts (not to mention shards of bone, ashes, charred remains, and other messy things best not mentioned on a family friendly forum).

    Cheers
