Looking good, Hamish. That County Cavan is beautiful.

Hamish, do you wear any kilts poorly?
Well done, as usual!

congrats! when do you think you'll hit 100?
I personally like the Irish county tartan kilt than the alpha kilt, but the pleats on it don't look bad on it though.

Two very different but equally good kilts there, Hamish. Congratulations on the latest acauisitions and I look forward to reading the reviews.
Perhaps we will see you in one of your new kilts in Dumfries next weekend.

Thanks so much, everyone, for your kind words. Alas, time is against me since I leave for 'The Scotland 2008 Tour' first thing on Saturday. The reviews will have to wait until after I return on 9th June.
Alex, I decided against taking the new Co.Cavan to Scotland, but I am taking two Scottish tartans and two tweeds I have not previously worn North o' the Border!
Take care,
Ham.

The Cavan reminds me very much of the Maple Leaf tartan, which I am sitting in right now. Same colors but the Cavan has more black emphasis.
Oh, and Hamish!! A black sporran with brown leathers?? Say it ain't so, m'laird. My worls has tuned upside down.

Aye Robert, it is indeed a green Freelander sporran. Since green sporran straps have still to be invented (as far as I know!!), I wear it with a brown strap when all my other leather accessories are brown, and with a black strap when the ditto are black. I guess it's called making the best of a bad situation! ![Wink](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Take care,
