What to buy me for Father's Day
Chivas Regal offers royal treatment in Scotland
Chivas Regal, iconic makers of Scotch whisky, have unveiled the ultimate Father's Day gift, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the essence of Scotland, home of Chivas Regal, through one of Scotland's greatest creations: whisky.
Father and gift-giver will experience the most luxurious accommodations including a stay at an invitation-only, private mansion with a full-service staff and world-class hospitality; privately prepared meals from one of Scotland's most acclaimed chefs; a round of golf at the world-famous St. Andrews Links; first class air and helicopter transport; a bespoke kilt and a family crest consultation; as well as a butler to oversee that the pair receives impeccable service throughout their trip.
This excursion will also offer two other opportunities - an intimate dinner with the Duke of Argyll at his home, Inveraray Castle, and a VIP tour of the castle and gardens and a tea with the duke in the tearoom..
Guests will also create a customized blended Scotch whisky with guidance from Chivas Regal's master blender, Colin Scott. Guests will have access to Chivas Brothers' stocks, the largest and oldest in the world, including five days of specialized whisky tastings where guests will have the opportunity to sample never-before tasted whiskies.
The finale of the trip of a lifetime will occur upon the guests' return home, with the receipt of their custom kilts and two bottles of the prestigious Chivas Regal 25-year-old Scotch Whisky, one of which will be presented in a special case designed by Viscount David Linley, son of Princess Margaret, and renowned designer.
Cost is $117,650, which includes airfare, transportation, lodging, all meals, a round of golf, blending class, tour of Inveraray Castle, two bespoke kilts, a custom family crest, two bottles of Chivas Regal whisky and a luxury case.
The Ultimate Father's Day Trip can be reserved by contacting Travelcorp International at 225-231-4735 until June 16. For additional information, call 888-332-2907. The Ultimate Father's Day Trip can be redeemed on Aug. 3-8 or Aug. 31-Sept. 5.
Since I'm not a golfer, if you pay my way, you can play my round of golf as well as your own.
Best regards,
Jake

my father would probably have to have himself knocked in the head by the random foursome coming up behind, buried in the bunker over looking catalina island with said empty bottles and the kilt strung up on his favorite 3 wood blowing in the wind over his grave.
for after that, in his own words, what else should there be to live for?

Sounds like a very fun trip, and the experience of a lifetime. However, I'm not holding my breath waiting for the trip to happen to me.

Only $117 thousand? Why, I'll take two, of course.
I don't know about the whisky or the dinner with bluebloods, but that must be SOME KINDA kilt.
Book of pictures of Scotland: $30
Bottle of Chivas Regal: $25
Round of golf at local club $75
Bagpipes CD $15
Saving enough left over to buy about 200 bespoke kilts: Priceless.

If that is your reasonable sporting gun, I am defiantly coming to shoot with you, please, and could I possibly borrow one for the day? Just say when.
