I'll be there. I hope to see you all in the flesh.

Boo-yah! Just got an email from Ms. Gilmour at the Celtic Corner Store and the Robertson Hunting Muted is ready and she'll ship it to me in the next couple of days. Jonesing almost over.
This is a good thing because I was trying to figure out just how I was going to change kilts at the Games...all I could think of for shelter was the port-o-sans and I'll be damned if I was going to try to change in one of them...especially when the sanctity of a brand new kilt was involved.

By way of a shameless bump and in order to get, maybe, a show of hands to see who-all will be showing up...
...my wife asked me the other day, "So it looks like more of your forum people will be at the Highland Games this year?" And I sez, "Yes...it looks like the ranks will be swelling from 'a couple' to 'several' this time."
I remind our esteemed members that the ISAS has usually run little adverts in the Chicago Tribune the week before the Games and the ads are a little coupon for a couple of bucks off the admission charge. Keeping with the frugal nature of the Scots, I suggest that you should keep an eye out for the coupons as a couple of bucks = int:
It's as close to a free beer as yer gonna get in this world.

While wondering the woods behind my home yesterday, I was able to scare up 2 cats, 6 deer (1 Buck), 4 fox, 1 coyote, and about 16 geese. But no dandelions!! I think they may be out of season now. So just stop by the Chisholm tent and check in. I'll keep looking.

I suspect I'll be flying solo at this event - my friends do not seem to share my passion for kilts. Hence, I'll stop by the Chisholm tent in a (very heavy) WPG kilt in the hopes of meeting some of you.

Well, I'm the guy that everyone on my block hates because I will never put any weed killer on my grass so if a crop turns up between now and then, I'll let you know. I keep my grass rather tall so that weeds don't have much of a chance of getting enough sun to sprout thus even I might not have any this week.

I plan to be there both days. I think my brother Turpin and nephew Seamus will join me on Saturday.

If any of you good people are passing the Clan MacLeod tent could you say hello for me?They won't know me as "Jock Scot",but if you say the hunting, shooting, fishing farmer from Gloucestershire and/or near Fort William, you may strike a chord.Ask for John and Judy MacLeod or Bob and Sandy MacLeod. You may get a wee dram?!Thanks,Jock.
