The good news its a Granger Aristocrat - a very collectable model and make. The bad news is as the other Phil said above. Casting rods are not nearly as collectable as fly rods. If its any consolation, you seem to have a very nice example. The sections are straight, the guides intact, the finish fresh, and you have the sock.
Who knows - on the right day with the right collector...

Thanks for the clarifications. I knew the handle looked different from the GAs I was seeing online, now memories of my childhood fishing days are coming back ("salmon eggs" and snarled monofilament reels).
Based on Googling, I've sent some info off to Lang's Auctions and we'll see what they have to say.
