Flashes / Garter ties help
Hi all, I need a little help. Since I don't own any flashes and the only set of garter ties I have, I made myself. I was wondering how wide each is. I am trying to make a set of flashes to mach the kilt I just finished. (When I have flashes, pictures will be posted) I like the flashes that were made on the bias (sorry I don't remember who made them off the top of my head), and want to try to do that, all I need is dimentions please. Thank you all in advance.

I just measured the Royal Naval Association tartan flashes that Barb Tewksbury made for me they are 6" long, by 2" wide.

My flashes, that match my Hunting Fraser kilt, are six inches long and made of two strips, each one inch wide. I reckon the length is, somewhat, of a personal preference depending upon how much of your stocking top you tend to turn down.
Hope this helps!
Cheers
Bruce
