Hello and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts.
I visited western Oregon (Portland) a year ago and found that many men were kilted... Mostly tan Utilikilt Mockers, and a large number of them at that. Apparently the style isn't traveling east through your area. During my week there, I was one of seven in tartan kilts out of about eighty-five kilted men at the conference I was attending. The tan colour seemed to belong to the Oregon contingent, the rest of us were in a variety of tartan, camo, and non-tan self colour kilts.
Welcome to the rabble, and when you got a chance, post a picture of yourself kilted. We will welcome seeing you as well.
