Is there a way that we can distinguish ourselves as we walk around the games? It seems that no matter what times what days, not everyone will be able to make it. How can we let each other know that we are Xmarkers from a distance? This is my first Grandfather games and I am anxious to make the most of it. The family (minus the wife) and I will be camping, so we plan on taking in the whole experience. Just let me know what I need to wear to make my self noticed by fellow Xmarkers. Thanks.

BTW, does anyone know if there are showers available for the campers? I only stayed two nights last year and just went w/o. The GMHG website has no info on this.

You are in luck, Turpin! There are showers which are in the woods of the far side of the reviewing stand. Hot water goes fast so be in line when it opens which if I remember correctly is 7. The showers are only open for a few hours which I think is 10 maybe 9. There are also some cold showers near by which are available 24 hours. They are indeed brisk.

I suggest you post and others post pictures of yourself on this thread. You can pick up dandelion (our XMarks plant badge) type artifical flower from JoAnn's Fabrics (plenty of them in VA) for your bonnet. [I'll have some extra and will give them out when asked.] Don't wear a bonnet, put it behind your ear!
Here's a photo of me. I plan Friday to wear my Robertson Red belted plaid and Saturday my Malcolm belted plaid. Evenings probably Gordon kilt or Buzz Kidder kaki canvas kilt.

Anyone know if there are still camping spots available?
No one can get through to the Games office, and the website's camping application has been taken down. I have a few friends that were a bit late in booking...ok, and myself included...I did leave voice mail, but no reply as of yet.
