Shame I didn't know about these Games when I lived there. Have a great time all! I hope that the fires in Big Sur don't effect any element of travel or safety for any one.

No excuses for me since I live just a short distance from the games. I'm a big fan of our local Monterey Pipe Band. At our recent Cancer Society 'Relay For Life', they led a group of cancer survivors on their 'Victory Lap'. Quite a moment!
I'll recognize Panache and his lovely bride & will keep a lookout for the US Army tartans in the crowd.
Not sure which kilt I'll wear but for sure I'll wear a flat cap & will be carrying my trusty camera with a HUGE lens.
