There are a lot more tent sites than RV. Headin out in the morning - I've been pulling together all the SH!te i'll need for a week.
I'll be looking for comrades at least one of the two days (sat/sun) 10 am at the STM tent.
Convener, Georgia Chapter, House of Gordon (Boss H.O.G.)
Where 4 Scotsmen gather there'll usually be a fifth.
7/5 of the world's population have a difficult time with fractions.

I get nervous about making announcements because there is a little tinge of paranoia of "what if's" but I think it's safe to announce that my clan has a recognized special guest for this. His name is Gerald MacKinnon.
We are all very excited. Are their any MacKinnon's on here that will be making an appearance?

It's quite an undertaking getting everything ready to load in the old Bronco, Thursday morning. (And then there is that lawn, I should cut before heading south.)
Sorry to read about MacMoose's woes. It's a popular place to go and fills up early.
Oh, yeah, don't forget the marshmallows. Let's see, how will I'll I recognize the other XMarkers? They will be the ones with the biggest grins! ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Well, I start leave tomorrow so I have a full day to pre-pack. I want to arrive early, but I'm not sure what time the campsite opens. The plan right now is to leave C'ville about 0500. Is that too early? This is our first Grandfather Games and the kids are so excited (the kids or me? ) I've been looking for a plastic dandelion to pin to my shirt, but I've been unlucky so far. I'll keep looking. Can't wait to meet some fellow XMarkers face to face. Just look for the tent with the OIF/OEF flag. (What exactly do I need all the marshmallows for?)

You need marshmallows for roasting them over an open campfire. However, I would caution that you buy some Hershey Chocolate Bars and a box of Graham Crackers so that you can make some S'mores.
Dang, I wish I was camping now. Next year I will.

You need the marshmallows for the big fight on Saturday night. The family side invades the rowdy side for a good natured marshmallow fight...led into battle by our own pipe band...try not to hit a piper.

Woot! Ah I've never heard of marshmallows for a friendly fight... pity one of the adults supposed to watch us didn't make the suggestion. When I was a teenager and went camping with the boys (about 15-20 teenage boys - I was in Civil Air Patrol) we used apples and clumps of mud to throw at each other.

Funny thing about that war, you can't evenfind a marshmellow on the ground Sunday am!
I'll be heading out Thurs. 6:00am. They say I can't check in untill 12:00 that will give us time to stop and smell the dandilions on the way up. You can find me in the camp by looking for my Douglass marker.

Can't you almost smell the anticipation? We'll see you all in just a few days in North Carolina! As time permits, I'll try to slicker my way through the hords of tartans to catch the tents, bands and events. Unfortunately or fortunately, I have to work at this thing... but I'm sure there will be time to tip a few!
