Rugby Shirts?

I noted some cross-talk about Xmarks Rugby Shirts on the thread about the next Xmarks tartan run and didn't want to be responsible for taking that thread off topic.

The simple possibility is to find one of the many services that have existing shirts on hand an do custom embroidery of logos on them. Not as slick as that proposed mandarin collar number, I'm sure, but if the idea is to keep it affordable, a cursory search of the internet shows blue long sleeve rugby shirts with the embroidery hovering in the $45-60 range. Long as the company would be doing Rugbies, it'd be a short hop to them doing polo shirts as well.

Just chucking in a thought.

I believe The Wizard of BC may still have some patches available that could be sewn on a rugby or polo shirt.

Or check with him, I assume he has the design lay-out set and would be readily adapted to be embroidered on shirts as well.

Unfortunately he may not be ready to take on another project right now as he is working on the tartan.

I believe that Steve is working on T-Shirts at the moment.

But Kilted in Maine has the right idea for those looking for a quick and easy XMTS polo or rugby shirt. Order a patch, get the shirt of your choice, and have at.

I've got a patch (small size) in the mail from Steve as I write this, for that very purpose.

I've been planning for some time to convert a rubgy shirt and a polo shirt using the patches Steve has.
I think they would look wonderful and I am hoping to get some made up before I order my Xmarks tartan. (PleasePleasePleasePlease)

I think they'd look really good, though I plan to contact Hank once they are made to ensure he's happy with those particular garments going around.

That said, I'm not a big fan of the Mandarin collar... So I can only imagine the arguments of that debate!
