You were lucky to see Cora Lynn in full flow, Alex. I've been there several times - including two stays in the hotel that is now part of the centre - but every time the falls have been bypassed for the production of electricity at the sub-station nearby so no spectacular water effects!

Robert Owen also estabished a Utopian Socialist community in America, New Harmony, Indiana. Owen actually purchased the old the town from George Rapp & the Harmonie Society.

Utopian experiments fascinate me; not too far from where my Scottish ancestors settled in Iowa are the famed Amana Colonies -- home to the best beer and best food in Iowa, INMHO!
