Does anyone know if there will be vendors??
About three years ago many vendors were angered by the way they were treated by the folks in charge of vendors and didn't come back. Seems to me there were fewer vendors the last two years. And with gas prices...
Also noticed that the website and flyer not only don't mention if there will be vendors there is no application form for vendors to fill out.
Feedback appreciated.

Okay, decided to make the drive down and back tomorrow. Hope to see some of you rabble wandering around. I'll be in the Antarctic tartan kilt.

Good news: There WILL be vendors!
Got a call back from the Website Mistress for the NACHS page...... indeed there WILL be vendors, I was told - and many, and good ones, I was assured.
I told her some were curious as there wasn't any vendor app on the event webpage. She told me that they don't append the app to the event page and that every year she's having to turn away like 25 or more vendor requests. They give 'first right of refusal' to the participating vendors from each successively previous year, thus end up having to decline others.

Went on spec anyway and wound up leaving about $150 there for a crook, kilt pin, t-shirt, and tote bag. Ran into the couple that puts the thing on and they said basically the same thing. There did seem to be more vendors than the last two years.
I managed to lose my eyeglasses!!! (Olde olde olde) so had to cut out early and run over to the mall to order a new pair then drive home before dark. And I looked right at the eyeglass retainer cord in my car just after I parked at the games and thought "naaa."
Long haul, 275 miles round trip. Ran into Keys and three other guys from the board but in my eyeglass distress forgot names.
Don't know if I'll come next year...last year had the collision with the kid driving on the wrong side of the road...this year I lose my glasses...spooky.
Got a few pics, will post if they're any good.

I was coordinating the workshops and plants/geology tents. On Sunday a pair of glasses was found in the area and I believe were turned in to lost and found. You might want to call 928.556.3161 and see if those are the missing ones you mentioned.

Thanks Ialtog!
Called Jude back, she was the lost and found lady, but left a message at that number too. We shall see. Thoughtful, thanks.
How you be?

Exhausted. Three days nonstop and seeing our workshops triple in number has left me feeling like an old dish rag. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. This is one of my favorite times of the year and the enthusiasm and wonderful participation of hundreds of festival goers at the workshops was just frigging magical.
I hope your glasses turn up. It wasn't just you, if that helps. I ended up returning another pair and even a lens from a third one - and that was just in the workshop area. There must have been glasses goblins at work or something.
I hope everyone who attended enjoyed themselves.

Sorry I missed you. Guess I would have worked my way around to your exhibits if I'd not had to head for the optician...
