Sonoran Scotsmen Tartan
Alrighty everyone. It's been a long time coming and a lot of planning, but it looks like we've almost got our finished design for the Sonoran Scotsmen tartan. I won't say who we are getting our kilts made from YET, but I'm pretty sure I know who I'm going to be going with. I don't want to say yet, because nothing is set in stone, and I have been working with more than one kilt maker to try and get the best deal and product.
Odds are that the mill will be Locharron which is awesome. Once the final kilt maker is set and the order has been placed, I'll feel more comfortable with those details.
Now this is not 100% confirmed to be the final design but if it's not it's VERY close to what it will look like. I'm fairly confident though that this will be the finished product.
The Sonoran Scotsmen will be placing a large bulk order as well so that helps a bunch too. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself once this order is placed and all I have left to do is wait. It's one thing to order a 8Yard hand sewn kilt and have to wait a few weeks or months for it, but this is my baby, my creation, and I'm very proud of it. I've worked very hard to get the Sonoran Scotsmen where we are today, and it'll be a great day when we can all stand side by side in the same tartan.
The colors that are used in this design are:
Red: For the Sedona redrock we have here in Arizona
Blue and Purple for those in our group that are Scottish
Green for the Irish in our Group
And white for the unity between Ireland and Scotland.
Without further adu, here's the design. I included a smaller pic and a larger pic just because.

That is sweet looking. Well done!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
