Add Me To The List
I just got my "Isle of Skye" in from Woollinmill Co. Came in to the post office registered in a black plastic bag. (Actually, two, one inside one outside.) There is a duty sticker on the package, but I didn't have to pay anything extra. Also, the postal stamp said 18.87 Pounds. They charged me a flat rate of 10 pounds shipping.
I shook it out and hung it up. Will try it on in a little while, when I get through smoking some ribs. Don't want black all over it.
It was reading this forum that aquinted me to this tartan. Don't know how many have it, but sure seams like a lot. Well, I got mine Now!!!!

Welcome to the BoIOS (Brotherhood of Isle of Skye)! One of my favorite tartans.
Convener, Georgia Chapter, House of Gordon (Boss H.O.G.)
Where 4 Scotsmen gather there'll usually be a fifth.
7/5 of the world's population have a difficult time with fractions.

And mine as well. The 'brotherhood' does require photos before the id card and secret handshake are issued!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Congrats on the new IOS, one of the most beautiful tartans out there, a true piece of art. Revel in the beauty each time you wear it or even just see it hanging in the closet. I do.
Hey, guys, I posted pics of mine a couple months ago but still haven't gotten my membership card or learned the secret handshake. What's up with that?

We really need a meeting of the BoIOS before we get too big. Congratulations it has been one of my favourite kilts and never ceases to garner compliments.
