Scottish American tartan, how to get?
Hello all
I ran across this Scottish American tartan http://kiltstore.net/tartan/Scottish..._family_name=S
but it may be restricted. Anyone have info on this, or pics if you have a kilt in this tartan?
I filled out the info form on their site but havent had a response from them.
Looks similar to American Heritage, I like the purple in it. With 16 oz fabric is tuck in selvedge bulky, or will the bottom of a kilt be just fine?

agast!
why would this tartan be 'restricted' or require permission to be purchased?

I have no idea why they have the disclaimer about it being "restricted." This is from Marton Mills (note the "MM Jura Range" on the scotweb page.) Here's the link to it on Marton Mill's site.

I've ordered it directly from Marton Mills with no issues. It's a fab tartan. I'll try to dig up pics of a kilt I did in this pleated to the white stripe.
And the selvedge is fine.
