Would you laugh even more if I told you the hand held metal detectors were protecting the entrance to the theater I was entering to see Terry Fator. He is the ventriloquist who won America's Got Talent last year.

The answer however is no. There really are no metal detectors at the entrances of theaters in New York City. However, they do search bags and some theaters make you check backpacks and/or bags of any kind. Many theaters also do not allow any 'doggie bags' (restaurant left overs) in too. Both make sense because the seats usually have limited leg room and different foods can smell.

Like the comment "so the man in the dress tells the man in the..." HA

Going to NYC this coming weekend to a cabaret show (not to be confused with the musical Cabaret) and I plan to wear a kilt again!
