Here's a Little Arizona

Probably not the best picture of me, but that raised bed has a bunch of young fig trees fattening up on one side, and young rootstocks for citrus in the other side. They've grown a lot since this picture was taken... I'll graft citrus onto these rootstocks next year, and the fig trees are for several different people. Now that I think of it, there are some starter bonsai in that patch along with a couple of rosemary plants and even a couple of tiger aloes. I like to stuff all kinds of plants together.
Sadly, I don't have any California poppies right now... this patch is just a big pile of mulch right now, but they will come back in the Winter.

It's funny, the little seed pods explode when they get dry, and shoot seeds every where. There's several different plants that do that out here.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Perhaps your scarecrow shouldn't look soooooo inviting.

No problem SexyButler, glad to share AZ pictures!
Ah, the scarecrow... He's too cute to be scarey. Infact, he's probably scared of that crow who lives in the palm tree. I have to bring him in when the wind gets bad. Wouldn't want him flying around, but that would be scarey...
Guess he's really a welcomecrow. All I need now is a lion and a tinman... and a yellow brick road.

Yep, the birds have finnished off all the prickly pear fruit... That's ok though, I have a ton of citrus out there for this Winter. I used to have peaches, almonds, apricots, and some other fruit trees, but I started swiching over to desert plants... Some day I'll sell this place and move on... Kind of look forward to that.
