That's true, I had forgotten that at formal events it's usually rather dark. Why is that? Because we all look better in dim light?

Funny stuff... I would hazard the thought that it was due to it being most likely after 6 pm.

Sure, it's after 6 PM... but there are still electric lights inside, always very dim and "romantic"...
