imperfect waistcoat vs. cummerbund w/ PC

I have tried the cumberbund with a PC style jacket and it really doesn't work

That's true, I had forgotten that at formal events it's usually rather dark. Why is that? Because we all look better in dim light?

Funny stuff... I would hazard the thought that it was due to it being most likely after 6 pm.

Sure, it's after 6 PM... but there are still electric lights inside, always very dim and "romantic"...

Yes, the lights are dimmed so we don't have to see too clearly... So we don't have to see all the flaws that a harsh light would bring out.

I, of course, don't care and would rather the lights be off...
