I'll have to let y'all know how it goes when I first go out in public with my kilt on. Should be interesting.

While we're here, anyone have any opinions on the Survival v. Workman debate I was having with myself? I mean it's not much of a debate now that I've pulled the trigger on ordering the Survival, but if anyone has any thoughts on the issue... or is that a topic for another forum? The Contemporary Kilts thread perhaps?

Unfortunately the only clue given was that it was a plateau in northern Alabama. Would that be the foothills?

I can only note that I have a Survival, which I find great for summer wear, when I don't want to have to wear a sporran. The pockets can be overwhelming, but are soooo convenient.

Welcome from Mississippi! As somebody with "good ol' boy" running in his veins, we're not as bad as you might think. You will be pleasantly surprised.

    .
The Cumberland plateau, which is part of the Appalachian plateau, does run down through east Alabama and then across the central part of the state, towards Birmingham. It's the tail end of the Appalachian mountain range.

Back on topic though, I have the workman and like it but since you've already ordered the survival I'd recommend it to you!
