Hello from Inverness
Hello to all!
I'm Alasdair MacNeill from the island of Gigha, but living in Inverness. I found this board by chance and liked what I saw, so decided to join.
As an extremely patriotic Scot it is such a pleasure to see so many people from around the globe celebrating their Scottish heritage and culture. Anything I can do to further this will be an honour.

Reason: Edited to comply with the board rules. Apologies to all

The exchange of information here is superb, that's what initially caught my eye. So much to look through though! Sounds like a job for my next quiet nightshift...

Dang, looks like I missed all the good stuff, but welcome. Great to have another Islander on board.
My kin came from the Trotternish of Skye (Uig and Staffin) to Skye Glen on Cape Breton Island in the mid 1800s.
