Scene 24

Secret Headquarters of the KLF

Mike led us through the hallways to the sleeping areas. As we passed a few people, they all seemed to be staring at me. I wonder how they would look when they all found out I wasn’t really the man they knew.

We passed by Julie on the way to our rooms. As we walked past her, I could feel her eyes on me. We stopped at the next room in the hallway. Apparently, our rooms were right next to hers.

“This is your room, Dave,” Mike said to me. “It’s the smaller of the two available rooms. I figured we’d give the ladies the larger one, since there’s two of them. They will be right next door.” He pointed down the hallway. “Unfortunately, we’re pretty bare bones around here. There’s only one bathroom for the whole section, at the end of the hall.”

“This will be fine,” I told him and stepped into my room. It was just a small room with a single bed, a dresser, and a chair. Additionally, there was a small rack where you could hang clothes.

Since I didn’t have any bags to unpack, I went down the hallway to use the bathroom, then returned to my room to get some sleep.

I was awoken a couple of hours later by a light rapping on my door. I swung out of bed and went to the door in just my shorts.

I opened the door and found Julie standing there in her pajamas. “Can I come in?” she asked, smiling.

“I guess, sure.” I stepped aside to let her in. As she passed me, she reached down to my backside and squeezed lightly, making me jump a bit. She laughed lightly and stepped into the room.

I turned back to close the door. As I started to turn around, I asked her, “What can I do for you Julie?”

Her actions caught me by surprise. As I turned, she pushed me back and I slammed against the wall. Her hand shot up and I felt the blade of a knife against my throat.

“Tell me, pig,” she asked, “Why I shouldn’t just slit your throat right now?”
