It's a common misconception that you can't join Clans once you live in Florida due to a lack of caves. Indeed, there are caves in Northwestern Florida just south of Alabama.

On a serious note, I have been wanting to join Clan Cian. My grandmother was a lowland Wolfe, which I found out this summer is a sept of Cian. The Cians that I met at the Ft Collins Irish festival were actually really excited to have a Wolfe take some interest.

I believe he got the answer he was looking for. I think the next step would be to research the Clans and find one that best matches his interests and qualities. Then find out what the individual clan organization requirements are.

FYI: Lowlanders traditionally wanted nothing to do with the clan system. It's only in recent years that we see Lowland and Border families adopting clan trappings.
