I joined mine about a year ago, was a bit shocked to find out my clan ID number is only 0320. Maye that is why it is so hard to find my tartan in all its permutations?

Remember when Mick Dundee asked his driver what tribe he belonged to in the movie Crocodile Dundee? It was a small thing but it tweaked my envy of those who do belong to a tribe. Then I went to my first Highland games and all I could think about was the music and what clan could I be possibly be connected to. It started out as a joke. My friend Pamela belonged to 3 clans. I said give me one of yours. You don't need three.

The genealogy thing. The belonging, then the working. I am proud to have been accepted by Clan MacNeil, it has brought me closer to those that trod before me on my mother's side of the family. I waited too late to join the Clan, as I joined and was accepted, a very close friend passed away who was an active member of the Clan. I did not know we were cousins until after he had passed on. I will visit my first Highland Games this September in New Hampshire. I hope to meet others of both Clan MacNeil and of Clan Lamont. The Lamont line is still very weak on my father's side, but I hope to prove it one of these days. I wish to support both clans as I know my line is good to Macneil of Barra, and strongly believe the Lamont ancestors will be found soon.
Congratulations and Cheers int:

Congratulations! By the way, you have an absolutely smashing tartan. One of the best in my opinion. ;)

Actually, I'm a Galbraith. But we share the same tartan.
And Cheers!
