You could check ebay or if you have a tartan shop near you see if they have ex rentals on sale.

I bought a pair from Celtic Croft in 2003. I have replaced the soles once. I believed I paid around $120.00 (a price I consider reasonable.) I found their ghillies to be as good a quality (and as comfortable) as the $200.00 Bally's I wore when I was in the corporate management game. I have put a lot of wear on my ghillies over the years and they still look good. Another plus for me with Celtic Croft, was they had my size in stock (I wear a 15.)
