20 oz per yard?
Hello all! I have a question.....Is 20 oz per yard wool fabric too heavy for a kilt? I was thinking of making a box pleat with this. ![Confused](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)
Thanks!
David

Go for it! Military kilts were 22 oz. It will be heavy and warm but it will be awesome!

*cavscout and I posted at the same time, sorry. He knows more than me about it, though. *
For reference, I think you can get a box pleat done in 22 Oz at the Scottish Tartans Museum if I read correctly, so all should be well. Good luck; it will be warm and cozy.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

If I found a tartan I liked in 20 oz for a decent price, it would be turned into a kilt.
