I went back and looked at what they were saying, and some of the posts were talking about wearing a wool kilt in 100 degrees F in a vehicle that had no air conditioning. That's probably good advice whether you are in a car or not. Wool kilts are very warm. At the risk of going off on a tangent to discuss traditional versus casual kilts, a sport kilt would certainly be much cooler. It's hard to see why anyone would want to wear a woolen garment of any kind under those conditions.
One guy posted that driving a long distance creased his pleats, but that could equally be used as a reason to own more than one kilt.

Interesting thought, but wool has wonderful propensities to "repair" itself rather quickly. The same could be said of wool trousers also! Good idea to have more than one kilt anyway. (I'm working on it)

I never wear mine while on my bicycle. 1. Long pants and long sleeves are the first defense against road rash. 2. Protection from excessive sun. I don't relish melanoma. I do carry my kilt in my backpack and change when I get to work. My newest bike is 16 months old and has almost 10,000 miles.

Since I started Biking to work most days (that's bicycling, my other half won't let me buy the motorized sort), I have found the kilt is actually far easier to change into than pants -- and my sporran is pre-loaded with all my gear and I don't have to search my pack and find everything.
Keep Kilting and biking (just not at the same time!)

One might consider wearing kilt they're not as attached to for a tomato fight.

Bunjee Jumping in a Kilt is probably not a good idea. ![Rofl](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
I have worn mine to Gay bar; the only 'problem' I had was from someone's mother who got a bit curious. Otherwise it was fine.
