A friend in need
Update: Mike died on Tuesday, September 9th, at 10:42 am. (Full post on next page)
On tuesday, a good friend of mine was hit by car. He is in the icu in critical condition, and has numerous broken and shattered bones, a collapsed lung, and internal bleeding. The doctors want to operate, but need him to stabilize first. On top of this, Mike has muscular dystrophy, and in addition to being confined to a wheelchair, this also means he is very frail, slow to heal and has a weak immune system.
Mike is without a doubt, the nicest guy never to walk the face of the earth. He deserves better than this.
So I ask those of you who are so inclined, say a prayer for Mike.

I used to work at an MDA camp, so I know how fragile people with muscular dystrophy can be. I hope he can pull through this. Be sure to be there for him and help him get better!

Agreed and I don't even know him. Hoping and praying that he gets well soon!

Mike will be in my prayers.
IMO the driver should be required to live in a wheel chair for a year so he understands what it's like to be disabled and he should be made to pay ALL of Mike's medical expenses.
