I never realized that there are more circles in the UK. I have only heard of Stone Henge.

I wish I still had a few pictures I had of the 12 apostles.... the other one on Ilkey Moor, Yorkshire, smaller stones perahps, but very impressive on the bleak moor.
I've visited many stone circles, special places for me...

Robertson, super piccies! I had no idea this circle was so close to Dumfries - and to think that we drove past it after leaving The Ferintosh in June!
Jim and I did see many of the standing stones in Kilmartin Glen, south of Oban, when Chris pointed them out to us a few days later.
