Well, I have s shorter great toe than second toe. The red hair in my family comes from my Norwegian grandfather (and beyond I suppose)- passed on to my mom, and then to my little sister, all I got was red highlights in my (used to be) brown hair and facial hair- moustache largely. But I did get a gene nobody ever talks about- the sucker for red hair gene. I think it is better controlled now that I am older, but just barely.

My longest toe is the second one, the first, third and fourth are almost the same length. Raises cane with trying to find shoes to fit!
Question though: If so many Scots (and other Celts) have feet shaped like Donald Duck, they why can't I find a pair of Gillies that will have a toe box to fit my feet?

Interesting thread! My big toe is the same length, and I have pretty wide feet!

hmm?? . . on both feet, my first 3 toes are the same length.
Does that mean I have alien blood in me?.
Oh yeah, I forgot to add . . my wife's big toes are shorter than her 2nd toes. Her family is Welsh.

Just for fun on both my feet big toes and the next are the same length. I have been used as a personal space heater by my girlfriend in the winter. To my Mums chagrin I too have the "prehensile monkey toes".
Mums side 100% Irish so maybe the monkey toes is an Irish thing

My dad always told me that my wide feet and 1st couple of toes the same size meant I had some duck in me Now I know it's the Celt influence in the family, yeah!!

Red hair and a markedly longer second toe - when is the next supercelt meet-up?

Egyptian toes here, but I can trace my family to Ireland on my mother's side. I suppose I am mostly English, whatever that may mean. Perhaps mostly Saxon?

Egads, this is freaky! Big toe clearly shorter than one next to it. Wide feet too. Confirms my Celtic heritage. My wife, of primarily German ancestry, has a longer big toe!!!
