I've been in their store in Buffalo. Bought some kilt hose and flashes. They're a reputable, if pricey, vendor. I can't vouch for the actual item.

I bought my practice chanters from them, at their store in Buffalo. While i was there there were 2 firemen purchasing their pipes, as that is where their pipe teacher sent them.

I agree their prices are a bit expensive, but sometimes they have very good sales.

I think at one point in time they were the only dealers in western NY and PA for Kilts and Bagpipes.

I personally like the jacket set you are looking at. I looked at it in person and it looks well made, not cheap!

And it arrived a couple of days back. It's a nice little crail coat for the price and ran true to size. The picture is actually a bit lighter than the actual material.

I plan on taking a picture of myself in it sometime soon.

It's a nice buy for the price.

Only gripe is the lack of choice of materials, but you will pay the additional money for that. So, it's any colour you want as long as it's the dark blue tweed.

I can't wait to get the one I ordered from Matt Newsome though!

That is a handsome jacket, and only a 45 minute drive for me. I may have to investigate this store. I love the fitted business look, especially at that price

Hey Dukeof Kircaldy, if you have any money left, , The Wizard of BC offers Freedom Kilts custom kilt cut jackets that are made in Scotland now. He told me to PM him for measuring instructions, but I have had to put everything on hold for a while... Don't know what will happen in my case, but you might be interested.

It sounded like you can have it made how ever you would like the jacket to be.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

How did I miss this thread?
As Glen mentioned, my gray argyle and waistcoat were from the British Shop. They're good quality, well-made (in Scotland ), and a good deal for the price.
The times I've stopped by, their in-store stock of Argyles was limited to gray, brown, and navy blue.
So - good quality product, at a lower price than USA Kilts or the Scottish Tartan Museum, but a limited selection to choose from. I can't speak to shipping, as I've always visited the actual store for purchases.

Oh - and those are UK sizes, so expect them to be slightly smaller than corresponding US sizes.

I bought my Practice Chanter from them many years ago (12 or so) the shipping was fine and no complaints about the service. I'd use them again with no worries.

Will post next week sometime. I should do a review of the jackets I have bought from Rocky at USA Kilts, The Tartan Museum and this place.

My only complaint is a lack of choice in fabrics, otherwise, no problem.

I should contact Freedom Kilts as I have been wanting/trying to buy one of their jackets for a while. It's probably less expensive than going to my tailor, although they are inexpensive.
