Our favourite summer one is the Tuesday night at the local short season Baseball team in town. Admission is $4.00 (two GA for the price of one), and all other stuff is too, hot dogs, drinks, and the like. It is fun to watch new ways of blowing a play (nobody said the team wasn't creative). Also sometimes they play really great ball.

Spring and Fall it is the local Botanical Garden, truly beautiful in these times. Summers tend to be a bit hot here. We also have a nice walking trail along the river when the weather is good.

Even though we have lived in the South since 1961, we still are amazed at how pleasant the Winter weather can be much of the time.

We like to go out for a nice dinner, or occasionally to the movies. But once a week after work we stop by the Wine Sellers and have a pint or glass of wine and nice conversation with the monday evening regulars. Since our children are older now it is easier for us to get out on our own more often. We are almost always holding hands when we are out, and even something as simple as a nice long walk around the town square and sharing thoughts is fun for us. To my wife and I it is not so much what we do as just being able to spend some time together without the pressures of work, kids, school, and life in general. Best of all we are as much friends now as we were when we married 20 years ago!

Word to those who are convinced that insanity is inherited, you get from your children. They do grow up, and suddenly you and your spouse find you have time to not only enjoy life, but each other in ways not possible before. It is really a wonderful time of life.
