I will be very interested, John... been on the prowl for another clan crest badge. Would like one that has the blade of the clay mohr extended farther out. Also, I would be interested to see how realistically he renders the two hands that grip the sword--- that's not easy!

Have a look at this, I asked Roddy if he had a picture for MacMillan. Again the picture doesn't do it justice with Shadow on the silver etc. I am sure he would extend the sword for you and do any other customisation you require.

I suggest you contact Roddy at roddy@roddyyoung.co.uk tell him hes being discussed on x-mark and you had seen the images that Duncan of Sketraw had posted.

    Does no harm.....

Sure is the best lettering I've seen on a clan badge. I'll write to him.

I know this may be a bit cheeky, particularly after the pictures of some superb work, but you may be interested in another silversmith who also does fine work. Try, Ian Grant of Edinburgh,he has a website. Some had thought that Ian had retired, but he is still going strong and has done some wonderful work for me.

Not cheeky in the slightest its good to know whats out there. The difference between Ian Grant of Edinburgh and Roddys work is that Roddy's, is individually cast and modeled rather than engraved.
