This is a question for those of you who own an SWK standard and a USAK semi-trad. How do the sizes compare? I now have 2 SWKs, and in Jerry's kilts I'm a perfect 40". I want my USAK to fit the same. I've got the length and the hips, but the waist...? If you have both, what is the difference in waist size? Thanks.
The waist measurement is at the navel. The hip dimension is usually around the buttocks. I was not sure if I answered the question you asked, so let us know.

I have one of each now. I am 38" around the navel and both fit about the same. For me the difference is the length to the top of the knee. I find with my USAK I tend to wear the top a little lower than my navel and with the SWK- higher, I could probably hem it (as is suggested) about one inch and it would be right. Hope this is a helpful answer.
Thanks ChattanCat, but I'm looking for an answer from someone who has both an SWK and a USAK--ie, "I'm a 40" waist in an SWK but a 41" in a USAK, and both fit perfect." The other measurements I've got.
Thank you Sionnach!! Exactly the answer I was looking for. A USAK is on the horizon--but after the earlier thread I posted to it seems a distant horizon because of the steady lengthening queue....
Yeah, I put in my order 3 weeks ago. I noticed this evening an 8-9 week wait (if you're not in a hurry.)
