The Real McKenzies are one of my favourites. My kids love 'em too. In fact it's their favourite band as well (other than Daddy's of course ). We have everything they put out including their new one "Off the Leash". I'm a huge fan of Punk Rock. I've been playing in bands for a couple (+) decades now. For those that are not familiar with them they combine good old punk / rock 'n' roll, with bagpipes and the like. They also do traditional Scottish, Irish, and Canadian songs and poems put to their style of music and they pull it off rather nicely. They even have classic Jacobite songs updated in their style. If they come to you neighborhood do yourself a favor and go see them. They are a lot of fun both during and after the show. Think of one big ,happy ceidlh. Even the old crowd tends to like them. I know some may disagree, but I think they're better than Dropkick Murphy's and it's a little known fact that it's The Real McKenzies that inspired them. Cheers and Up Tha Scots !

Sounnds like it wasa great show. I would have more than one reason to go to Guelph. My great grandfather was born there and have been meaning to visit to do some genealogical research.

That one of the best shows I've gone to the band were all a great bunch of guys really cool and I had a blast hanging out with them .
