If you know how many kilts you own, you have too few.

I'm kilted pretty much every day... when it snows, I switch to trousers, but that's about it.

I own 4 SWK standards, and 2 heavies. 1 "ancient" kilt from Celtic Croft, 1 sport kilt, 1 AmeriKilt, 1 Newsome Box Pleat, and 1 Buzz Kidder canvas. My next two purchases are likely to be another "ancient" kilt in a heavier wool for winter events, and a philabeg in something lightweight for summer events in southern Arizona. Then maybe another Newsome... then....

90 kilts, that is amazing, I only own 2. Hope you get that photo gallery up soon, would be cool to see some pics of all those kilts.

How are the heavies? I've got 2 standards that I really like, but would like a heavy for the cooler months that are coming... Unfortunately he doesn't have my size in solid green...

SWK Standard Irish Saffron--because I wanted my 1st kilt fast!
Buzz Kidder canvas in forest green for something casual
SportKilt "Braveheart" purchased here on X-Marks "broken in", even more casual
McKenzie 13oz wool purchased on EBAY-UK "because"
Irish National 13oz "on the way" I hope!
First kilt purchased 08/04/08. Five in less than 3 months! Now that I have a variety to wear regularly, it's time to round out the collection with those on my want list (which keeps growing). It is truely an addiction.

25 including 7 I have long grown beyond for one reason or another, and 3 pairs of trews for those rare occasions when a kilt is just not appropriate. Five (and it may be seven, memory being what it is) stay in Scotland; the rest are in Canada or travel back and forth with me.

Since first voting in this poll some while back I've acquired another kilt. Unfortunately my meager funds don't allow me to indulge as I would like at this moment, so I only have but the two:

    1. Black Watch "budget kilt" (not even sure of the weight)

    2. Modern Mackay - Matt Newsome Box Pleat 16oz : My new pride & joy
