Sorry for the misstep these were the only white cockades on ebay I too know the significance of the Jacobite White Cockade and did not intend to muddy the waters so to speak.

I just removed mine, made a tartan flash (inspired by the Scots regiments) from my clan tartan & placed my badge over that.

They're very easy to make with some grosgrain ribbon. You could copy Lord George Murray's!

In the Irish rebellion of 1798, the French handed out green cockades to be worn by the rebels. And people wonder why the English and the French don't like eachother? Actually, the French army were led by Napper Tandy, who they had commissioned as a general, and all they did was hand out green cockades and then retreat, LOL!

We just use a bit of wide silk ribbon and it looks great.

I was hoping Brian would post that graphic. 
Apologies, DWFII, for not reading the ebay entry first before responding. Given that the item on ebay is a reproduction of a French Revolution-era cockade, I would say it wouldn't be appropriate for a Scots bonnet -- the one Brian quoted is much better, INMHO.
