York is a great place to be kilted despite the dangers of being killed

A fine selection of photos, John - thank you for them. My memories of York are extremely scant although I have been there twice, on day outings when staying with friends in Wakefield, back in the 1960s/70s. One thing I do recall fairly clearly is the taking of afternoon tea at "Betty's"!!

Nowadays, whenever I am anywhere near York, I am on my way to or from Scotland and sadly have no time to make the detour.

I really am becoming far too sedentary and must get out more - before it's too late!!

Thank you Cynthia for your always kind words. Macman & Freelancer my sweater is an Aran which I bought in Kilkenny, Ireland last year. Sionnach - it's not me in the avatar.
