What Jamie said is spot on! Respect is a two way street, as any military or ex-military person can tell you. Respect also must be earned, it cannot be demanded. OTH there is the respect for the Institution/Office which transcends the person. I have had too many young women dress like street-walkers, tell me they were "making a statement". When I asked them what statement they thought they were making, they really had no clue.

That is why children are given parents.
