Very cool first outing. It's always a bonus when you can embarrass your son. Mine is 34 and is petrified I'll show up in a kilt when he's present. (I told him that it's part of my job to embarrass him.

Outstanding! What a great story. My Boys roll their eyes skyward at me too. It's good for them, it builds character!

Same with my 13 y/0. Although I did get him to be my sword bearer for the Parade of Tartans at Stone Mt.

Great first outing story. That one you can dine out on at any kilt nite.

BroosterB1 sounds like a fun first kilted outing. Ballooning in a kilt is definately a "kilt do."

    Great story!!

My dad, brother and I embarass the heck out of mom whenever we go out kilted. My girlfriend was embarassed too until her cousin got married kilted and she saw how sharp a bunch of kilted guys can look. Even got her to cave and accept that when we eventually get hitched, my brother, father and I and every other guest with a kilt will be wearing one that day.

    Enjoy the kilt!

Those are some great pictures! I was born in Los Alamos and grew up in Chama. I remember more than one occasion going to those rally's. How much fun they were... I would love to take my kids to one some day.
