I'm set aside as a reader in the Orthodox Church (my parish is OCA). Not technically ordained to the ministry, but I plan to head off to seminary after I graduate.

I filled out the ULC card a while ago. I'm currently in my final year of seminary school to become a Presbyterian minister.

A priest, a rabbi and a minister walk into a kilt shop...

...just wanted to see how it sounded.

Count me in for the ULC, very recent and for weddings only. Just performed my second ceremony, probably the last unless another friend wants me to officiate. And with a last name of Clark, I didn't have to buy another kilt. Clark/Clergy Kilts Rock!

Yeah, until you realize you don't have enough kilts to have a mix!

I was going to make my #2 kilt a Black watch, (my son's first which I just ordered is a Black Watch) but instead I ordered the Royal Stewart, for my Halloween costume (SWK standard, it just gave me an extra reason) and I am contemplating the Clergy one in the future in case anyone I know wants me to officiate for them, or just to have a nice blue one. I still plan on having the Black Watch by St. Paddy's day, even if that is an Irish day... I might go for a plain Green Shadow from SWK for that day too, a little more authentic. I think. Whats the fun of getting it all in one go? (Besides, if I do the camping next year that I hope to, I want 3 different Kilts so I can change every day.

I see you are also in Maryland. AFAIK there aren't any problems with ULC recognition here, but have you experienced any?

If you have any religious discussions to carry on that is what the PM system is for.

So here we are in the off topic box, chewing the cud, and we are told off? Yet, we could post pretty autumn scenes and comment on great places to hike in the general kilt talk box and not be chastised. Sounds a bit discriminatory to me.

    Cheers, Graham.
