I haven't been to too many military funerals however, because of my occupation, I have attended quite a few services for LEOs. I usually manage to hold it together right up until the lone piper plays Amazing Grace. Between the pipes and the echoing buglers sounding Taps, I come completely unglued along with everyone else at the service.

Thank you for helping the grieving families and colleagues.

An honorable job. When I was in the Army I was on the Honor Detail Rifle Squad. We traveled over a multi-state region and provided burial honors, 21 gun salute. Drill and ceremony was key. I was honored to be a part of the Detail.

I don't play the pipes, but I have sounded taps many times.

Thanks for serving for those who served.

I live two blocks -- literally -- from those so-called Christians. For better or worse, I've learned to ignore them and simply keep them in my prayers.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!
