Yes, I did consider that, but as blueberries are grown on literally thousand of acres in this area, I figured one plant in a small back yard near the city centre would pose little hazard. In addition, I found out that Blaeberry's are also native to Colorado.
Yes exotic flora and fauna can cause problems, we have, among others, kudzu.

But the voice of Gilmore in my head is saying we are not a clan...
Guess it would be more like dandelion totem and that form of clan.

The dandelion was chosen because it has many of the virtues of an Xmarker... It grows just about anywhere, you cant get rid of 'em even if you try, and they're versatile, you can make wine or salad from them! ... err that's not to say that you can make salad or wine from xmarkers... but you know what I mean !
