Arlen,
I like the green hose and white sporran. ( Like Alan I actually slightly prefer the green hose and brown sporran but think the white looks a bit dressier in this context.)
You will look smashing which ever combination you settle on!

Although all are great, I would vote for Option 1.

#1, but I'd be hesitant about wearing blue flashes with green hose.

You'll knock 'em dead with any of these. All smart.

They all look wonderful, if it were me I may just go for the outfit that is most comfortable, so I'd say simply wear the outfit that you are most comfortable in, even if that is the brown sporran. I'm sure you will look wonderful whatever option you choose.

If it is a black tie affair, wouldn't a black bow tie be better? The cravat makes your outfit more of a mourning suit. As for the hose, the darker the better. Cream, oatmeal and lovat colors seem better suited for daywear outfits. Of course this is just my opinion. Like McMurdo said, you go with what you are comfortable with.

I'm with Jamie - option 1.
By the way - are things still growing that well in southern Idaho? Up north the leaves are falling and most plants have had a substantial blast of frost by now.

You look good! I vote for the oatmeal hose. The green hose seem "heavy" (they stand out) and drew my eye to your legs first. I believe the idea is to accentuate the tartan not detract from it. That said, I'm a relative newbie to kilts so what do I know. Well, I do know a little about color.

If your tie were green also, I'd go with the green hose. As is, I think the oatmeal better compliments the blue in the tie and the flashes.

BTW, my wife likes the green hose better. I tell you there's no accounting for taste.
