    Remebrance Sunday

This Sunday is Remembrance in the UK. Sadly we lost another of the old boys yesterday.

I am wondering if there is anyone who could help me by sending me a few Remembrance Day paper poppies via the post. I will gladly pay to receive them if we can figure out how to get the money across the pond.

If anyone thinks they can help - please PM me at your convenience.

Thanks in advance - and my apologies for hi-jacking this important thread.

Here in Ithaca there will be a parade. I'll be marching with my American Legion post. Hopefully I can get my wife to take a few pictures to share.

    Excellent link, Jock.
I will be wearing my RAF tartan kilt with matching tie to church on Sunday.
Not sure if I will have a chance to catch any pics of the local Veterans Parade to and from their open air service in the park as I am on door duty at church this Sunday.

That is very sad to hear. I will be at my usual spot by our local cenotaph on the 11th. I have not missed a year in 17 years, except for when I attended the large observance in Ottawa when I was at university.
It's the least I can do for my Grandfather and the many who served before and after him.

I'll be piping with my band at church Sunday, then piping a memorial on the 11th.
