Ham... If you din't have time to do the design, I'll help you out. Tell me the colors you'd like and give me a couple ideas of tartans you like the look of (the overall design) and I'll design it for you for free. I can also help you get it woven and registered (you'll have to pay for that part... but I'd just charge you my cost). Then you can have Barb make it if you like.

Another "Oh, WOW!" Thank you SO much, Rocky - that would be incredibly kind and generous.

It is, as yet, something I have not had a chance to even begin thinking about, but I will. Knowing my preferences, it will probably be all Ancient, Muted ad Weathered colours but I'll say no more until I have really thought this one out.

What is it, I wonder, about the kilting fraternity that makes everyone so friendly, warm and generous? Just think how different everything would be if the World Leaders were all kilties!!

    Thanks again Rocky, and

    Take care,
    Ham.

    Ham,
I do not have anything to offer as Barb and Rocky at this time. The contributions that you have made to all of the kilted planet, including myself, are beyond possible repayment. Thank you many times over. Kilt on.

    Steve

Man, if you get your tartan registered, especially if it's all weathered, ancient and muted, I'd wear it. Especially if it's a USAK!

    Hats off to you Hamish.
I believe in life, you reap what you sew. I've never met you personally, although I'd like to resolve that at some point but this thread says a great deal about you!

"Courtesy is contagious" is part of the answer.

Discourteous people do occasionally show up here, but in mere days they either change or disappear. The mods and the members maintain an environment that discourages discourtesy and encourages courtesy.

Postscript: Self-confidence is probably involved also. Self-confident people are likely to choose courtesy because they don't feel threatened. Something akin to noblesse oblige perhaps.
