I may live in Georgia, but I was born and raised in Arkansas, and my grandmother was a self-proclaimed "hillbilly" from the Ozarks above Harrison. When you got to the end of the railroad line that went up the White River, you had to get in a wagon (with horses) and ride up the ridges to her home. The last time I was there--many years ago--we still had to get out of the car to go up to the old house where her uncle lived in case the car went over the edge.
Arkansas highlanders, you might say. My mother never did get used to that.
I'm sure you're not so unsophiticated as my forebears, but my point is that I know your area, and I love it. I certainly hope you find a home here.
