I'm have a Chaplain's badge stitched on the flap of my sporran. It sounds a great idea to have the Branch badge there and your rank insignia on the kilt pin.

    Best wishes
    Graham.

I was given a small US Navy Officer's cap device, when I left active service. However the eagle looks to the left, it is worn on the left lapel of a jacket. I wear it always.

Should present no problem whatsoever. Good source for military insignia is Medals of America. You name it they have it. Additionally seeing more and more military insignia placed on things like belts, sporran chains, etc. Some very very high class. Also, SAMS - Scottish American Military Society - encourages wearing your awards and decorations on uniform shirts. Our chapter wears the tan Marine/Navy long sleeve or short sleeve shirts with all appurtenances. Even the DOD now recommends wearing your medals for holidays such as Memorial or Veteran's Day. Be proud, you earned the right to wear your stuff.

Is Vanguard http://www.vanguardmil.com/store/ the outfit you were thinking of? All the USMC PX's that I bought my uniform stuff at seemed to stock exclusively Vanguard.
